A longtime friend introduced me to her best friend, who owns and operates the brand Ruechi Beauty. Women supporting Women, if you will.
With beauty tools, ritual and self-care at the heart of everything Ruechi Beauty does, adding a signature candle to the lineup was the natural next step, and DEHV was ready to bring it to life.
Introducing Vanilla Silk
The result of that collaboration is Vanilla Silk, a candle built to feel like an extension of the Ruechi Beauty ritual itself. Warm, soft, and a little indulgent, it was designed to sit on a vanity or a bathroom shelf right alongside the beauty tools and self-care habits Ruechi Beauty customers already love.
Made By Hand, The Same Way We Always Have
Every Vanilla Silk candle that ships from our Los Angeles studio goes through the same process we use for our own DEHV line. Soy wax is melted and poured in small batches, fragrance is blended and tested until it burns true from the first light to the last, and each candle is finished and inspected by hand before it ever leaves our workspace. Nothing about this collaboration changed the way we work. We simply applied the same craftsmanship and quality standards that built DEHV to a candle designed for the Ruechi Beauty customer.
Why This Partnership Made Sense
A self-care brand built on beauty tools and everyday ritual is a natural fit for a candle. Ruechi Beauty wanted something that felt like an extension of the routines their customers already love, and that is exactly the kind of brief we enjoy most, taking someone else's brand identity and making sure it comes through the moment someone lights the candle.
