DEHV x Netflix: A Custom Candle for Hollywood's Creative Home
Some collaborations find you when you're ready for them. This one arrived through our website contact form- a message from Netflix's talent experiences and gifting team, looking for something custom for a new facility opening in Hollywood.
The result is one of our most meaningful projects to date.
The Brief
Netflix was opening Netflix on Vine- a new creative facility in the heart of Hollywood and wanted a candle that felt as intentional as the space itself. Not a generic gift. Not something off the shelf. Something made exclusively for them, designed to reflect the energy of a place where stories are made.
They came to DEHV.
The Vessel
We started where we always start: the concrete. Our signature 11oz raw concrete vessel was the natural foundation- a material that carries weight, permanence, and a handmade quality that feels right for a space built around creativity and craft.
Then we did something we'd never done before: we engraved the Netflix N directly into the concrete.
It's a small detail that changes everything. The logo isn't printed or labeled- it's pressed into the material itself, permanent and precise. The kind of detail you notice and remember.
The Scent
Every custom DEHV collaboration starts with a question: what should this place smell like?
For Netflix on Vine, the answer was white sage and cactus flower- a scent rooted in California. Clean, warm, and distinctly LA. The kind of fragrance that grounds you in a specific place and moment, which felt exactly right for a facility built to celebrate the stories that come out of this city.
The Packaging
The outside of every candle reads:
"This candle was made exclusively for Netflix in collaboration with DEHV Candle Co. Designed with 'Netflix on Vine' in mind, this special collaboration celebrates Netflix's creativity and DEHV Candle Co.'s artisanal passion, offering a scent experience as unique and memorable as the stories we share."
We are truly honored to not only work on a project like this, but to be recognized on the packaging when Netflix could have easily gone the private label route. They instead chose to support a small business and that means everything to us.
